A common misconception embattling the Arab world is the notion that growing up in western countries causes one to lose touch with their Arab roots. De Kleurrijke Top 100 TV reporters Raja Felgata and Margo De Haas set out to discredit this notion. They traveled around the globe interviewing Empowered Arab Women across our great nation to share their stories. Our Founder, Rula Othman, was asked to be a part of this project. By founding Epsilon Alpha Sigma, she showed the world the beauty in balancing the cultural roots she was raised by with the western ideals she was exposed to. Creating a space for Arab women on university campuses has encouraged the expression of Arab culture in the confines of college environments at a time where students are distancing from rather than embracing their roots.
