Meet the Founding Sisters of our UNLV Colony!

Our colony at UNLV was initiated on September 18, 2016. Read below to learn more about each sister and their goals within Epsilon Alpha Sigma.

DIANA ZEINEDDINE
Diana Zeineddine is a junior majoring in broadcast journalism and double minoring in theatre and dance. Originally from Lebanon, Diana lived in Dubai for eleven years and moved to Las Vegas at the age of thirteen. In addition to being the president of the UNLV colony, Diana serves as the secretary of Hawiyati Inc, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the empowerment of the Arab American youth. Diana also spends her time performing with the UNLV Scarlet Dance Line, working with UNLV TV productions and the "O" Cirque du Soleil show and teaching dance at Brave Dance Center. Her future goals include TV hosting, acting and performing. She hopes to use her degree to spread awareness towards the refugee crisis and to better the image of the Arab culture and diminish stereotypes of Arab women worldwide. ​

Jumana Massis
Jumana Massis is a senior majoring in hospitality management with a concentration in meetings and events. As a Palestinian-American, Jumana has always been passionate in bringing awareness to the refugee crisis and humanitarian rights efforts in the Middle East. Jumana hopes to use her positions as vice president and co-pledge educator as well as her cultural roots to tear down stereotypes and to  bring a positive representation of what it means to be an Arab-American woman living in the states. Her future goals include growing within the hospitality industry and becoming an executive of a hotel located in a major city. She hopes to serve as a role model in the hospitality industry by being involved in local and global philanthropy efforts within her organization. ​

Enas Ajaj
Enas Ajaj is a junior majoring in pre-pharmacy biology and  she serves as the director of finances. As a Palestinian-American, Enas hopes to educate young women and make strides in bettering the image of Arab woman. Enas' dreams include aiding in the pharmaceutical industry in the Middle East. She believes that bringing a stronger presence of the Arab culture to UNLV will educate other students about the Arab heritage and Epsilon Alpha Sigma will unite Arab woman worldwide in empowering each other.

Laureen Ajaj
Lauren Ajaj is a senior double majoring in early childhood education and ultrasound. She hopes to use her position as director of recruitment at UNLV to recruit and be a leader for future woman trying to eliminate the Arab woman stereotype. Being a Palestinian-American, Lauren always had a dream of being the voice for refugees all over the world. Lauren's future goals include opening her own preschool in the Middle East as she believes education can enlighten the world and be used as a tool against ignorance. ​

Juline Massis
Juline Massis is a sophomore majoring in radiography. As a Palestinian-American, she hopes to be a leader that empowers Arab women, diminishes the negativity image about the Middle East and brings awareness to the ongoing refugee crisis. She is passionate about representing her Arab culture and is dedicated to creating a positive impact that benefits Arabs globally. Her future goals are to increase her community service efforts within the Arab world and become a radiology technician working at a hospital.

Epsilon Alpha Sigma's president/founder, Rula Othman, was featured in a SoulPancake video titled "Arab | How You See Me." 

The video is part of a series that aims to showcase how various social classifications impact one's identity.
